Het is inmiddels weer enkele maanden geleden sinds de laatste editie van Soulfully Yours in Ernesto's! maar ze zijn er weer, en hoe?! Een hele dikke line-up met maar liefst twee toppers 'from over the pond'. De canadees Jason Hodges uit Toronto en Chuck Daniels uit 'the dirty D' (detroit) zijn uitgenodigd voor (onder andere) de SY editie tijdens ADE en ze hebben hun ook nog weten te strikken om een week later in Sittard hun beats te komen droppen. Dat belooft wat! De twee draaien al een hele lange tijd mee in de house en hebben zeker hun stempel gedrukt op de underground house sound waar Soulfully Yours zo van houdt! Underground house zoals het bedoelt is, funky tot techy, niet te snel maar soms ook wel. En alsof de twee headliners nog niet genoeg zouden zijn komen residents Jimmy James en (de tegenwoordig in Antwerpen wonende) Jerry Swinger de boel opwarmen....wat heet... het zal waarschijnlijk al koken vanaf de eerste plaat met deze gasten ;) Voor de overige zintuigen (naast de oren) neemt de sy-deco crew de toko weer onder handen en zal vj Lucid Interval weer het kersje op de taart komen leggen. Wij hebben er zin in!

BIO HODGES:

Canadian born Jason Hurtubise, first arrived in the house music scene in late 1991, taking on Toronto’s underground party scene he developed his DJing skills on the decks with the likes of New York - New Jersey sounds. Todd Terry, Kenny Dope + Lil Louie Vega (Maw) Zack Tomz, and Todd Edwards are a few of Hodges’ favorite producers.
Drawn to the sounds of drum machines, Hodges began renting gear from local music stores until finally deciding on a E-MU SP 1200, a piece commonly used by Hip Hop producers since it’s arrival in 1987.
Hard-hitting beats with deep grooves became the signature sound for Hodges – whether in the studio, on the dance floors; from local Toronto gigs, to the surrounding towns around Ontario and across Canada, Hodges was growing and coming into his own.
Jason began releasing records with various Toronto labels getting his feet wet remixing and co-producing tracks with some of Canada’s talents. After many years of training and development, Hodges returned to the scene with a new energy and a new plan.
As a part of the All World Entertainment (now Apt Entertainment) team of house DJ’s and producers, Hodges teamed up with DJ Sneak on co-productions and remix work for several notable and established artists.  Hodges & Sneak (AKA ‘The Jizznackaz”) have collaborated on a number of Sneak’s projects and records for Magnetic Recordings, as well as Sneak’s imprint label Oomph Recordings.
2003 opened the floodgates for world travel and new music projects. Jason continued to build his profile; remixing artists like Freaks on MMF, Kaskade on OM, Sneak’s “Fix my Sink” on Magnetic, Cozy Creatures Oomph, Bosh, an EP for Swirl People on Aroma Records (Belgium), EP for Oomph Records (USA), EP for OAE Records (USA), Amenti Music, with many of his productions featured on several House of OM CD Series’ (Carter & Farina LIVE, DJ Sneak, Fred Everything) as well as Mark Farina AND Derrick Carter’s ‘Sessions’ for Ministry of Sound UK, respectively – all promising a steady and bright future for Canada’s best-kept secret.
These last 2 and a half years have sent Jason across the globe, from Brazil to Belgium to Bulgaria, all the UK majors and exclusive Ministry of Sound events, Istanbul, Turkey, the Netherlands and over to Asia and Australia with the beautiful continent South Africa on the horizon.
For those who know, the name Jason Hodges represents the technical craft he pours into every production, with highly anticipated tracks being played and praised by the likes of Mark Farina, DJ Heather, Derrick Carter, DJ Raoul, among other eminent House Music Pioneers around the world.

BIO CHUCK:

Having always wanted to share his music and vision with others, Chuck Daniels has been an apex component of the Detroit and dance music scene for many years. Whether it’s been behind the decks, behind the party or behind the scenes, he has been involved in hundreds of party’s going back to 1996 and has been DJ’in since 1988. There are not many clubs in Detroit he hasn’t played or brought one of his famous Sampled party’s to, including booking some of the greats like DJ Sneak, Derrick Carter, Green Velvet, Miles Maeda, DJ Heather, Jason Hodges to name a few. Having also performed across North America and Europe, Chuck has played numerous clubs and parties, including residencies at the infamous Motor Lounge, Porter Street, and The Temple.
Developed from a broad musical background, Chuck has cultivated his style to embrace a wide range of styles, but all staying true to the House sound. His house background has been heavily influenced by Detroit Techno, Booty, and bass along with a strong influence of Chicago and New York House. His sets are seamlessly put together with energy, a visual passion and an experienced knowledge.
In the last five years Chuck has made a big impact in the House music scene with releases and remixes on numerous labels earning him lots of credibility with fellow industry artists. His remixes include work with DJ Sneak, John Larner, Lawn Chair Generals, Late Night Society, Troydon just to scratch the surface and he has been on labels such as Classic, Robsoul, Guest House, Oomph, Magnetic, Tango, Night Shift, Spatula, OM, Mobile Trax, Phobic, Black Cherry, Detour, Grab, Ministry of Sound, Pacha and of course his own label Sampled. He has praised work featured on numerous compilations by industry big hitters including, DJ Heather, Mark Farina, Derrick Carter, DJ Sneak, Inland Knights, and a 50 Year anniversary collective for the Technique Turntable! It is this recognition and accolade, which has also led him to release his own compilation mix featured on DJ Sneaks label, Oomph Recordings, taking him on a multi city tour of Europe and the U.S.
More recently, Chuck has taken a small break building a new studio in his Detroit home, set up to record with the industry’s leading artists. Chuck has already started many projects and works with Jason Hodges as [Border Patrol], the 1200 Warriors, and Slater Hogan. He is always dedicating his time to working with upcoming local producers and DJ’s, putting something back into his local Detroit community. Daniels is also hard at work dedicating time to Sampled Recordings featuring some of dance music’s premier artists.
Once one of the underground's music’s best kept secrets, Chuck has crept into the mainstream consciousness of labels and promoters world wide and continues to promote the music that he loves.
